5 Ways To Help You Improve Your Hearing

Try crossword puzzles, word searches, and Sudoku as these are fun exercises and get your brain working, keep it healthy and can prevent brain atrophy. You could also go out and play bingo or card games, such as hearts and poker, as these are great ways to work your brain but also have fun with your friends in a social setting.

Yoga is known and widely practised for its wide variety of health benefits, but very few people realise that it can help with your hearing too. Some yoga poses such as the tree, lotus, cobra, and triangle pose increase circulation in your ear and your brain since increased circulation helps improve nerve functions and removes waste and toxins.

Exercise Daily

Keeping your body in good shape is important for your overall health but it does also help in keeping your ears and brain healthy too. Exercising every day even if it is just going for a walk or gentle jog, doing some yoga or even just gardening or doing housework is really good for getting your blood pumping and your circulation going strong. However, if you are worried about your hearing, then avoid exercising with your headphones, earphones, or any source of loud music.


Meditating in a park or any other public area where you will be surrounded by different sounds can really help with your hearing. As you meditate, take deep breaths which will help your blood circulation and increase oxygen in your body. Then you should focus on each sound around you and try to locate where they are coming from. This will help you concentrate on deciphering sounds in noisy environments and determining the location of each sound.

Practice Hearing

This might sound silly, but you can do hearing exercises which can help you to hone in on where sounds are coming from and who or what is making the sounds. Make time to practice these, either concentrating on different sounds or guessing where sounds are coming from can really help.
