Kripalu is a gentle form of hatha yoga that may involve the most inward focus among the popular types of yoga. Expect lots of breath work, meditation, and "self-discovery, as with Kripalu, you get to know your body and your spiritual side, as well."
Classes will usually begin with breathing, stretching, and then a series of poses — however, rather than ending class with "Namaste," Kripalu teachers will say, "Jai bhagwan," another phrase with a similar meaning.
Kripalu is good for beginners or people who are out of shape, as you learn all the basics in a gentle and easy fashion.
